    AOC since 1956, Saint-Joseph wine* dates back Antquity.


    In the iX century charlemagne tasted and appreciated this wine and it was served from that day on at the royal dinner tables.

    The old “Mauves wine” mentioned in Les Misérables by Victor Hugo was given its present name by the jesuit in XVII century.

    Today Saint Joseph is mostly known for its powerful and fine red wines coming from the Syrah variety that you can discover in the typical House of wines with its olfactory tour or an ultra-modern wine-tasting cellar and also at several small-scale producers.
